Fun Questions
-
If you could communicate with animals, what's the first thing you'd ask them?
I would likely ask cats why they think they rule the world!
-
Describe a funny or heartwarming moment you've experienced at the hospital?
If you know huskies, they are quite vocal, especially after anesthesia. We had a husky patient in once for surgery, and when she was in her kennel recovering we could hear the quietest howl you can imagine. When we turned around to check on her, she had thrown her head back, making the quietest husky “call of their people” howl/bark and gently trying to nibble on the roof of the kennel.

What's the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect about my job is when you work on a difficult case for a very sick patient, and are able to see them go home happy and feeling 100% better.
Serious Questions
-
What inspired you to work in this industry?
Originally, I wanted to be a human doctor. However my love for animals and medicine led me to pursue a career in the veterinary medicine, and I wanted to be part of something where I could help advocate for animals.

What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?
I truly believe that a pets diet and activity level is the key to our pets living a healthy lifestyle. Just like people, they also need to eat well and be active to keep their bodies and joints healthy.
